The Center of Rehabilitation of Valle Alto (CREVA), is the first rehabilitation center for children with developmental disabilities in the rural area of Punata, in Cochabamba, Bolivia. CREVA was established thanks to the efforts of the Sisters of Guadalupe, who secured funding for a rehabilitation center for children with disabilities in six municipalities in the upper valley region of Cochabamba. Boys and girls in this valley are transported to the center daily. The children of CREVA start their day at 8:00 AM learning about personal hygiene, followed by breakfast. They are then placed in two groups for adaptive and early intervention therapy. Other therapeutic programs include physical and speech therapy. Psychological, educational and healthcare services are also provided. CREVA offers rehabilitation and medical services to over 70 children and young adults from infancy through 25 years of age.
On March 30, 2013, Sorata Foundation held a concert in San Francisco to raise funds for CREVA. Results from this concert will be shared with the community through our Facebook page.
